Join in England’s annual celebration of local history and architecture. This is your chance to have a wonderful FREE day out exploring King’s Lynn’s historic buildings. The King’s Lynn Civic Society working with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, the Red Badge Town Guides, businesses, residents and Friends Groups have arranged a great programme so you can visit houses, offices, gardens, churches, chapels, towers and tunnels not normally open to the public. Look out for special events, colourful re-enactors, children’s activities, music, dancing, miniature trains, boats, classic cars and exhibitions. Heritage Open Day is England’s most popular grassroots cultural event.

Ever since its creation, the Mini has had a special place in British popular culture. And now, fans of this iconic car can see 150 of them gathered in King's Lynn's Tuesday Market Place. The cars and entertainment make this a perfect day out for all the family.

Minis old and new are welcome at this popular event.

This commemorates the opening of RAF East Kirkby in August 1943.

We will have Avro Lancaster NX611 and De Havilland Mosquito HJ711 both taxying three times for the event but we will also have flying displays from Avro Lancaster PA474 and a Spitfire and Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as well as more to be confirmed. 

On the ground we will have performances from The Dreambelles and displays from our RAF reenactment group.

We have a special talk by Bomber Command historian James Jefferies about RAF East Kirkby and its place within RAF Bomber Command during WW2 to put the airfield into context with the whole Bomber Command effort.  This will be held in the hangar during the afternoon.

As this is a big event at the Centre we will also be providing airfield tours around the old airfield of RAF East Kirkby.

King's Lynn will be taking a step back in time to the 90s and noughties with a weekend full of all those classic songs that we all know so well!

This weekend the action returns to the Tuesday Market Place with the return of Mods & Rockers.

The Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk bring you a day full of entertainment – a must for both scooter and bike enthusiasts and fans of the clothes and music of the era. The popular Mods and Rockers Classic Scooter and Motorbike Meet returns to King’s Lynn.

The annual full airshow and is run to help raise funds for the on-going restoration of Avro Lancaster NX611. We are happy to say that we have been able to secure some of the best displays in the country so the audience should not be disappointed! It is imperative that all those who are planning coming to the event do buy their tickets before hand so that they can gain entry to the site.

Pride in Ely is back for 2023! We keep saying we’re bigger and better than ever, but this year do we ever mean it! For the first time ever we’re running from 10am to 10pm, bringing you 12 solid hours of Pride fun and games like never before!

🕙 10am to 5pm you can enjoy a wide range of entertainment, from our main and acoustic stages, to our craft market, street food, charity and information stalls and our ‘fun zone’ featuring bouncy castles, emergency service vehicles, face painting and much more – details to be announced!

🕔 5pm to 6pm there will be an opportunity to chill out, grab some food and drink from our street food zone and listen to some tunes our whilst we get ready for our brand new live evening event on Jubilee Gardens. 

🕕 6pm to 10pm for the first time ever we’re bringing you an exciting mix of live entertainment from our Main Stage on Jubilee Gardens, featuring cabaret, music, bands, acrobatics and more! Our alcohol and street food vendors will remain open throughout the evening event, along with the Pride in Ely. 

And best of all, the whole event is 100% FREE to attend!

Kings Lynn towns market is returning with a whole new look following a major transformation.

The former King's Lynn Farmers' Market has undergone a makeover during a five-month break to become a merchants' market which will host some of Norfolk's best stallholders.

It will return with a vast offering including freshly made bread, doughnuts, global cuisines and locally produced beverages and spirits and of course fresh coffee and indulgent milkshakes from us!
